How to maintain tile and grout.

So you had your tile and grout recently cleaned. You need to know how to take care of it. We usually go over this before we leave our clients home or business.  If you haven't already done so apply a sealer to the grout. It does make cleaning easier. If unsure of this process have a professional do this for you. First you want to vacuum the tile and grout. Vacuuming not only removes the dirt off the tile but removes it from the grout line. Set your vacuum on hard surface if you have that option. Sweeping the tile and grout should be avoided as you are sweeping the dirt into the grout line. If you do sweep it be sure to sweep the grout lines good. Use a clean mop and bucket. Purchase a neutral floor cleaner such as  Zep Neutral Floor Cleaner  from a janitorial supply store or home center. Follow the label for mixing the cleaner usually 2-4 ounces per gallon.
